Frequently asked
FAQ
Everything I get asked about Fog Ledger. If something is missing, ping the feedback thread.
Is Fog Ledger free?
Yes. The full app runs on your browser's local storage — no account, no ads, ever. There is an optional Pro tier (€3,99/month) for cross-device sync, group roulette and cloud storage for the cakes tracker. If you don't need cross-device sync, the free version is the whole app.Do I need an account to use it?
No. Everything works anonymously via localStorage. Sign-in only exists so Pro users can sync across devices. Is Fog Ledger affiliated with Behaviour Interactive?
No. Fog Ledger is a fan-made project, not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Behaviour Interactive. All character names, perk names and imagery belong to their respective owners. How does the roulette work?
Pick your role (killer, survivor, or either), pick a character pool (all, favourites only, only from builds you saved, or Otzdarva's curated pool), optionally set a perk tier floor, and spin. The result gives you a character plus a four-perk loadout you can save, share, or mark as played.Where do Otzdarva's builds come from?
Scraped from otzdarva-builds.com and his public tier-list pages, integrated so you can filter the roulette and perk browser by his ratings. Credit stays on the content everywhere it shows up.What is the cakes tracker?
A per-character ledger for the 100% bloodpoint offerings you have banked: anniversary cakes (per year), Bloody Party Streamers, Survivor Pudding and Escape! Cake. When you spin the roulette or open a saved build for a character with cakes to burn, the card lights up so you don't forget.Does the goal tracker auto-fill from Steam?
Yes for Steam achievements. Link your Steam profile on /stats and any achievement you've already unlocked auto-ticks in the goal tracker. Prestige milestones, P100 and custom goals still tick manually.Where do the bloodpoint codes come from?
Auto-scraped weekly from PCGamesN and PC Gamer's DBD code roundups. Expired codes are filtered out so you only see what still works. Can I use it on mobile?
Yes. The site is responsive — every page works on phone and tablet. There's a mobile bottom tab bar for navigation. No native app.How do I export or back up my data?
Head to /account and hit "Download JSON". You get a full snapshot of your builds, goals, favourites and cake ledger as a single file. Import back into any browser to restore. What happens if I cancel Pro?
Your account stays. Your data stays. You just fall back to localStorage-only mode. Export your data first if you want a copy — the cakes tracker specifically requires cloud storage, so those numbers won't follow you back to localStorage unless you re-import a snapshot.Where do I report a bug or request a feature?
Open an issue at github.com/kneijenhuijs/dbd-companion or reply to the pinned feedback thread on Reddit. I read all of them.
